The BIRDS organization, collaborated with the SMILE Foundation made an effort towards creating a group of independent youth living with dignity from the underprivileged section through skill enhancement and market requirements. The project aims at preparing urban underprivileged youths (adolescent youths) with skills in English proficiency, Basic Computer education, and Soft Skills for enhancing their prospects of employment in fast-expanding sectors like retail outlets, hospitality, and BPOs.

The objective of this program is to provide job-oriented marketing skills to those underprivileged youths whose education and marketable skills need grooming to make them eligible for tapping into the booming Healthcare, ITES, and Retail jobs.

Objectives:

To empower youth and adolescents to provide Vocational and Skill development training for sustainable livelihood and empowerment.

Problems:

Unemployment, lack of skill, lack of self-confidence, poor English fluency, and computer knowledge

Activities:

  • Skill Training programs are organized for dropout students to build their skills.
  • Tailoring and embroidery training
  • Four-wheeler training
  • Personality Development Training Program

Training program for 120 dropout youths, Computer class, Spoken English class, Retail management class, etc.
