This program attempts to address the issue of raising conflicts among different communities in Bangalore’s Rural and Urban Districts. The issue reveals itself in the widespread hatred, intolerance, and opposition based on caste, religion, language, and gender. As a result, there is increasing violence based on religion, caste, and language; communal violence and language disputes have taken many innocent lives in Karnataka. So, BIRDS is promoting peace by forming Peace Committees by gathering young people, providing peace education for school and college students, solving social conflicts like caste, religion, and community problems, gathering different kinds of people for joint actions, and celebrating different religious festivals.

Accomplishments:
Community Problems:
BIRDS was observing community issues in rural areas and slums and identifying some conflicts. particularly a community problem between the two groups of Rohingya Muslim Refugees at Dasharahalli slum. So, we have connected with the community mediator and are planning for peacebuilding between those two groups.
Uniting Religions and People:
Birds was always trying to get the attention of the various religious groups and their leaders for peace-making approaches. We always stimulated the people who were involved in interfaith religious actions. Also, BIRDS was conducting various religious programs and festivals to engage different religious people in the promotion of religious togetherness. So, those activities eliminated the discrimination among various spiritual people. Also, we were encouraging inter-religious marriages.
Promotion of Peace:
Birds has different peace groups of women, children, and youth. Through these groups, we were organizing peace education, meetings, and motivation training programs in educational institutions. We were focusing on the young generations and creating awareness about peace, which will help lead to future generational reforms.
Eliminating Casteism:
BIRDS was organizing awareness programs on human rights to make an impact and change the mindset of the different castes like Dalits, SC/ST, Reddys, Gowdas, etc. We were observing the dominating caste groups activities and taking legal action for that. BIRDS has concern for the vulnerable low-caste people. We always raise voice for the caste discrimination problems and solve them through legal actions. Also, BIRDS was promoting inter-caste marriages to eliminate casteism.
