The Brothers of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a registered body duly adhering to legal compliances under the Indian law. It is registered as a Charitable Society under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act 1960 (Karnataka Act No.17 of 1960). It has tax exemption u/s 12 A from the Income Tax Department as well as permission from FCRA department of Ministry of Home Affairs for receipt of foreign donations. The Governing Body meets twice a year to review and guide the organization’s activities. There is a financial policy that governs the financial management system. Qualified and experienced staff handle the finance of the organization. Financial transactions are done as per standard accounting procedures, which are annually audited by a registered Chartered Accountant. Society fulfils legal compliance like filing annual returns to the Income Tax and Societies Registrar as well as submitting form FC3 to the Home Ministry regularly and on time.
