Idhaya Shopping Complex – 2006

Idhaya Shopping Complex was established by the Sacred Heart Brothers Society in 2006, when Rev. Br. A. Gnanapragasam SHJ was the Superior of Geddalahalli Community. He approached the Generalate through Rev. Br. Augustine K. Raj SHJ, the then Provincial Superior of Angelo Province. It was Rev. Br. N.S. Jesudoss SHJ, the then Superior General, who authorized Rev. Br. A. Thomas Robert Edward SHJ, the then Secretary of the Sacred Heart Brothers Society, to construct the ground floor of the shopping complex as the first phase. Initially, 20 shops were built.

Then, in 2008-09, Rev. Br. M. Velankanni, SHJ, the then Secretary of the Sacred Heart Brothers Society, constructed another 20 shops. In 2010, Rev. Br. N.S. Jesudoss, SHJ, the then Superior General, authorized another 34 shops to be built. This phase of construction was carried out directly from the Generalate through Rev. Br. A. Victordass SHJ, the then Procurator General, and was locally monitored by Rev. Br. D. Benedict SHJ. The inauguration of this phase of the building was done in May 2012 by the then Superior General, Rev. Br. A. Victordass SHJ, and Rev. Fr. S. Jayanathan, the Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Bangalore, who blessed the building.
