Infant Jesus High School is a minority co-educational institution established and administered by the Society of the Sacred Heart Brothers, a Catholic religious society founded by Rev. Fr. Adrain Caussanel, SJ. The school, under the patronage of Infant Jesus, inspires us to manifest love and care for the children, who need to grow with moral values. This institution was started in 1981 in response to the insistent demands of the people of Lingarajapuram. It is recognized by the government of Karnataka.

Our motto, “An Enlightened Reach out,” reminds us to continuously strive to enlighten the youth and enable them to reach out to create a new society. In carrying out its aims and releasing its vision, the school, as a minority institution, reserves for itself the inherent and constitutionally recognized rights of management and administration.

With such a humble beginning, the school gradually rose to meet the needs of the local people. Rev. Br. M.A. Emmanuel SHJ and Rev. Br. A. Ignatius SHJ, were the founders and pioneers, along with Rev. Br. A. Arputham SHJ and Rev. Bro. A. Innaciappa, SHJ, took the initiative and started to build the institution on a gifted vacant site by Mr. Joseph Reddy with just one room, which served as a classroom and prayer hall. We are grateful to him and his family members for their generosity and kindness. We are also very much indebted to the Archdiocese of Bangalore for its support and cooperation in all our endeavors. We sincerely thank all the former prelates of the Archdiocese of Bangalore and the present Archbishop, Most Rev. Bernard Moras. It has been more than 42 years since the school has grown immensely and continues to serve the local community.
